RNP launches call for proposals to ICT managers
RNP will organize the RNP Forum 2015, from August 25 to 27 in Brasilia. This year's edition will promote a debate on the importance and challenges of using mobile technologies in the fields of science and technology, education, health, culture and defense, with the participation of more active user organizations.
RNP's client institutions that wish to enjoy the event schedule may submit their proposals, through their ICT managers, in the format shown below, until June 5 to forum-propostas@rnp.br. RNP will select up to three works that encourage broad discussion (practical, technical and political aspects) about the reality of our clients before the central theme of the event, mobility, and such works must be related to one of the thematic subjects of the Forum: Cloud Computing Culture, defense, e-Science, Identity Management, Governance and Leadership, Legislation and Regulation, ICT Operations, Networks and New Technologies, Security and Privacy, Technology applied to Education, or Telehealth and Telemedicine.
Proposals must indicate:
- Title;
- Identification of applicants (full name, e-mail, home institution);
- Theme;
- Proposed duration: 60 minutes or 120 minutes;
- Executive summary with details of participants (maximum 1 page);
- Format:
- Roundtable - A technique used by small groups committed to the same field of knowledge or interest, for information, exchange of ideas, discussion of cases. Each participant has time to put their points of view to be examined and debated. In order to ensure a good order of business, a moderator who all must abide by will be appointed.
- Panel - Meeting derived from the roundtable meeting, which aims to reproduce the information from a small group to a large participating group (audience). It consists of up to four panelists and a moderator, who may present one or more subjects. The participation of the audience is held through questions made at the end of the presentations.
- Debate - Discussion between two or more speakers, each defending a viewpoint, in the presence of a moderator for coordinating. It may be open to the public or transmitted by a media vehicle.
- Experience report - Presents two or three experiences of common interest topics to the audience, coordinated by the applicant.
Proposals will be reviewed, selected and disclosed by July 7 by the RNP 2015 Forum Program Committee, which may suggest adjustments and consolidations of proposals, in order to better enjoy the sessions and topics.
