RNP launches call for scientific journalism grant
RNP, through the Research, Development and Innovation Incentive Grant Program (RD&I), launches its first call for scientific journalism grants.
The initiative aims to offer opportunities for postgraduate students and communication professionals to work on the production of content related to Science and Technology, improving the ability to translate the technical language of science into a format that is more accessible to society.
Students with a master's degree or a professional degree who have completed a master's degree and/or a professional with more than 3 years of experience in communication or journalism, and who have taken a Scientific Journalism course, participated in a related laboratory/extension project during their learning journey or have completed an internship in the communication department of a Scientific, Technological and Innovation Institution (STI) may apply for the grant.
The grant amount is R$3,700.00 (three thousand seven hundred reais) per month for candidates with a completed master's degree or more than 3 years of professional experience. For candidates with a master's degree in progress, the grant amount will be R$2,000.00 (two thousand reais) per month. In both cases, the estimated workload is up to 20 hours per week. The work schedule will be remote.

The selected person will work on the production of journalistic content on cutting-edge topics in the area of Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs), such as: Internet, Blockchain, mobile networks (5G, 6G) and Artificial Intelligence.
