Partnership opportunities with RNP will be one of the highlights of the schedule of the 10th Regional Providers Meeting, which is being held in Recife (PE) on Wednesday (10/8). Held since 2013, the goal of these meetings is to discuss the market for internet service providers (ISPs) and take information to regional providers, important for the universalization of broadband in the country. 

According to data of the RNP purchase processes, regional providers have excelled in hiring new circuits. Besides those who are already partners of the organization, 25 other providers are being hired in 2014.

In the North and Northeast regions, local providers represent a majority stake in gained circuits, with respect to large operators. “This business model has been essential to the internalization of the Ipê network, it increases our range of suppliers”, says the RNP Shopping analyst, Rodrigo Rosa.

As for the RNP Operations coordinator, Leonardo Carneiro, who will lecture on the process of implementation of circuits, he emphasizes the importance of partnership with local operators. “As we take connectivity to the five regions of the country, large operators are not always able to meet us. An alternative is to hire regional carriers, which are smaller companies with more entrepreneurial bias”, he says.
