Mato Grosso opens the WTRs season with an in-person event between 5/30 and 6/1
RNP's Point of Presence in Mato Grosso (PoP-MT) will open the 2023 season of Network Technologies Workshops (WTRs) with a face-to-face event between 5/30 and 6/1, at the Mato Grosso Federal University's Cuiabá campus (UFMT). The meeting will be aimed at managers and technical teams in the ICT area of the main public and private teaching and research institutions in the state.
The schedule for the first two days will feature the course “LGPD for all”, taught by Nelcileno Araujo, professor at UFMT and researcher at the Laboratory of Virtual Learning Environments (LAV) and the workshop “Backup Offsite using Bacula”, led by the Coordinator of the National Cybersecurity Hub of the RNP Security Incident Response Center (CAIS), Cristian González.
On the last day of the event, RNP's general director, Nelson Simões, will speak about the RNP System, lectures on security will also be presented and there will be moments of technical discussions with the participants.
"We are looking forward to the return of the face-to-face event, it will be the third POP-MT WTR and the second edition in the face-to-face format. Our first edition, in 2019, was a success and brought us good returns for building regional agreements. This year, we had support from the State University of Mato Grosso (Unemat) and the Federal Institute of Mato Grosso (IFMT) to organize the WTR. We will receive more participants, attract more sponsors compared to previous editions, change the programming format to expand debates and technical discussions with the academic community. The main novelty will be the presence of the national speaker and specialist in information security Wanderley Abreu Junior, who became nationally known for his report on the invasion he carried out in a NASA system”, highlights the administrative coordinator of the PoP-MT, Allan Gonçalves.
