Participate in the consultation to map the use of open data for research
On March 13th, RNP launched a consultation to the academic community to map the use of open data for research. The initiative is one of the deliveries of the Brazilian Research Data Network Working Group (GT-RDP Brasil), coordinated by the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS), with support from the Federal University of Rio Grande (FURG). RNP funds the project, with the partnership of the Brazilian Institute of Information in Science and Technology (IBICT).
The initial purpose is to identify practices of open access to research data (AADP) in Brazilian institutions, such as the use of institutional repositories, for example. The analysis of the answers received will serve to map potential national users and determine the requirements for developing of a technological solution that facilitates the sharing of scientific data.
Access the questionnaire and participate in the survey.
The survey results will be presented at the event Latin America and the Caribbean Scientific Data Management Workshop, which will take place in the auditorium of the Brazilian Academy of Sciences (ABC), in Rio de Janeiro, on April 17-18, 2018 . The workshop is promoted by the World Data System (WDS) and discusses best practices for managing data repositories and opportunities for collaboration among researchers, as well as trends and perspectives for systems that meet the demands for scientific data management. Registration for the event can be done until April 1st.
