RNP and GSI of the presidency unite in agenda for bilateral cooperation
Representatives of the National Education and Research Network (RNP) participated in a joint agenda with the delegation of the Institutional Security Office of the Presidency of the Republic (GSI), this Tuesday, 5/9, in Brasília. The aim was to reinforce the bilateral commitment of cooperation between the Center for Treatment and Response to Government Cybernetic Incidents (CTIRGov), of the GSI, and the Center for Response to Security Incidents (CAIS/RNP). On that occasion, technical visits were made to both institutions, focusing on the area of cybersecurity.
During the meeting, participants had the opportunity to share projects and discuss the challenges for the security sector, such as the lack of comprehensive training for professionals and the training of new specialized agents. In addition, they discussed issues regarding the refinement of the formalization of partnerships and joint actions.
The program of the meeting was divided into two moments. In the morning, RNP received the Secretary of Information and Cybernetics Security (SSC), Brigadier Luiz Fernando, the director of the Department of Information and Cybernetics Security, Luis Sergio C Souto, the general coordinator of CTIRGov, TC Paulo Cesar C. Nunes, and the special advisor for Information Security, Najara França.
The delegation was received by the general director and by the director of Engineering and Operations of RNP, Nelson Simões da Silva and Eduardo Cezar Grizendi, respectively. Also present were the Deputy Director of Cybersecurity, Emilio Nakamura, the Relationship Manager, Rafael Pontes, and the Information Security Manager, Edilson Ferreira Lima, who facilitated and mediated the meeting.
After the welcome, visitors had the opportunity to tour the security facilities and the Security Operations Center (SOC) area.
In the second moment of the agenda, after lunch, the participants traveled to the Presidency of the Republic to visit the premises of SSIC/GSI/PR. Then, concluding the programming, the parties debated projects of common interest.
