RNP at Campus Party Goiás: connectivity, hackathon, lecture and much more!
Technology. Creativity. Innovation. Education. Entrepreneurship. Science. Disruptiveness. These are values that tie together the conception of Campus Party, a festival that engages communities in an immersive environment with a bold mission: “rewrite the source code of the world”. The National Education and Research Network (RNP), once again, joins the crowd and connects this movement in the next edition of the event, in Goiânia (GO), which takes place between the 15th and 19th of June.
For five days, Passeio das Águas Shopping becomes a propitious arena for innovation connected by RNP, which will provide secure and high-capacity internet, in a band of up to 10Gb/s, to the event and to the approximately 70 thousand people who should be there, as estimated by the Campus Party organization. In addition to the wired network, there will be a secure WiFi signal from eduroam, accessible to students, professors and researchers via the Federated Academic Community (CAFe).
In order to further engage the present Campus members, RNP promotes a challenge. A hackathon (that is, a programming marathon to develop solutions, discuss new ideas, solve problems and/or improve software or hardware projects) with the objective of “Improving the user experience with a focus on UX and/or Accessibility” of our Eduplay service. More information about the hackathon!
Another RNP participation in the event takes place through a lecture scheduled for 6/17, at 3 pm, with the theme "I'm tired of creating software that nobody wants to use", which will address the challenges faced from understanding the real needs of users, the use of the Design Thinking approach and the concern with usability, going through the agile development process from sprints, the essential functionalities in a project, with analysis of results and real deliveries of value. On the occasion, cases of RNP projects with the Ministry of Education (MEC) of great scope will be presented, such as the Unified Selection System (Sisu), Digital Diploma , National Book and Didactic Material Program (PNLD) Digital, and the Single Access - which will gather Sisu, Prouni and Fies in a single environment.
The speakers are:
Felipe Nascimento, Innovation analyst at RNP, enthusiast in innovation and agile methods, leader of the LABs squadron and of the Metaverse study group at RNP.
Roosevelt Benvindo, Solutions manager at RNP, responsible for prospecting and managing the organization's technological solutions.
Whoever is at the event and wants to know more about RNP's broad performance, in addition to participating in the various planned interactions, is more than invited to visit our booth.
