RNP launches a call for proposals in the 2015 Identity Management program

RNP invites the academic community to take part in the call for proposals in the 2015 Identity Management program. The call notice is intended to promote the study of themes connected to the area, such as authentication and authorization protocols and public keys infrastructure, for the evolution of the services offered by RNP.

The proposals must be sent, by April 6th, in .pdf format to the electronic address pgid2015@rnp.br. The chosen projects shall be followed-up on by members of the Identity Management Technical Committee (CT-GId), created by RNP in 2010, with participants from the organization and the academic community, in order to support the evolution of such services by means of technology prospection.

  • Usability in identity management technologies;
  • Tools for management and monitoring of the CAFe federation;
  • Audit and guarantee levels (LOAs) in identity management;
  • Scalability in identity management technologies;
  • Authentication and authorization protocols;
  • Authentication and federated access control in non-web applications and mobile computing;
  • A&A Management in inter-institutional projects and virtual organizations;
  • Development of applications using A&A infrastructure provided by RNP (ICPEdu and CAFe);
  • Integrated environments for A&A management;
  • Standards for digital identity in the academic community;
  • Technologies to strengthen users’ privacy;
  • Fraud and identity theft prevention techniques;
  • Attribute-based authentication and access control;
  • User-centered identity management;
  • Management of multiple identities by the user;
  • Identities’ life cycle management (creation, uses, destruction);
  • New authentication and access control approaches (such as based on context, reputation, etc.)
