RNP launches call for technology startups
With the aim of promoting open innovation, it opened a public call to expand its bank of qualified suppliers in technology. The focus is on small specialized companies, that is, relatively young organizations with great potential for innovation and not necessarily with a completely established business model.
Once approved in the qualification process, they will become part of a register and will be able to develop different ICT solutions together with RNP. “Among the countless intentions, we are seeking to approach and warm up the startup ecosystem, aiming to co-create innovative and very high quality solutions, focused on delivering value to RNP customers. We believe that this journey could become a great hub of opportunities for both parties”, emphasizes Marcello de Jesus, deputy director of RNP's Specialized Digital Services Unit.
Not only startups are included in the call for the qualification process. The organization divided the document into two groups: one for startups and small businesses; another for medium and large companies. Each of the blocks will serve different requests.
One of the main advantages of this type of contract on demand is the reduction of bureaucracy and the consequent gain in agility. While a traditional hiring process can take at least two months, the qualification model created by RNP allows the work to start immediately, after a quick competition between qualified candidates.
For companies, the advantages do not stop there. “Instead of sending the request for proposal to the wide competition in the market, we only send it to the already qualified suppliers. This is a great benefit: The company qualifies and starts to compete with a smaller ecosystem”, explains Marcello de Jesus.
