RNP makes presentation at Géant eHealth meeting
On 1/27, the national coordinator of RUTE (RNP) and president of ABTms, Luiz Ary Messina, was one of the panelists in the virtual meeting to define the eHealth base of Géant (European Research and Education Network). He participated in the “Session II Lightning Talks: eHealth in practice".
In the presentation, he showed how RNP has already contributed to eight of the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, pointing out that “NRENs have a lot to contribute to the social-economic impact of the Digital Transformation and agenda 2030, if we consider them as knowledge and collaborative networks.“
Goals RNP has contributed to
2. Zero hunger and sustainable agriculture, 3. Health and Well-Being, 4. Quality education, 5. Gender Equality, 9. Industry Innovation and Infrastructure, 10. Reduction of inequality, 11. Sustainable cities and communities, 17. Partnerships and means of implementation.
Messina highlighted the importance of the participation in the event, mainly within the new context created from the creation of RUTE Latin America in September 2020.
“The progress of RUTE in Brazil, its expansion in Latin America and the academic networks of Brazil, Mexico, Colombia, Chile and Ecuador, and the international recognition, place RNP in a highlight position before the international health academic community, to the extent to be among the academic networks of the world (United Kingdom, Germany, Denmark, Holland, Italy, Brazil and Japan). Proof of this was this invitation to present our vision in Digital Health”, the national coordinator of RUTE said.
The event was attended by Géant (Europe Regional Networks), APAN (Asian-Pacific Advanced Networks), RedClara, and several NRENs.
