RNP is part of the Advisory Committee of the National Digital Health Maturity Index (CC-INMSD) of the Ministry of Health
The Secretariat of Information and Digital Health of the Ministry of Health (SEIDIGI/MS) invited RNP to join the Advisory Committee of the National Digital Health Maturity Index (INMSD). Established through the GM/MS Ordinance No. 3,727, of May 21, 2024, INMSD aims to expand and strengthen digital health within the Unified Health System (SUS).
The Advisory Committee will have the objective of advising SEIDIGI/MS in improving INMSD and monitoring its application and continuous evolution. INMSD, which is part of the SUS Digital Program, will carry out a diagnosis of digital health maturity in states and municipalities, to support the preparation of Transformation Action Plans for Digital Health and monitoring of progress at municipal, state and federal levels, combating inequality in Brazilian territory.
“RNP's experience and leadership in Digital Health are recognized and highlights MCTI's initiative in planning and implementing the University Telemedicine Network (RUTE) in 2006, coordinated by RNP”, says RUTE's national coordinator and RNP's Health Community Relations manager, Luiz Ary Messina. “In 2007, the Ministry of Health created the National Telehealth Program, synchronized with the actions of RNP/RUTE. After 18 years, this is an indicator of resilience to digital transformation in the SUS”, he concludes.
How the National Digital Health Maturity Index (INMSD) will work
The index will be obtained through a questionnaire prepared by the Secretariat of Information and Digital Health of the Ministry of Health (SEIDIGI/MS) and sent to the federated entities via email, with a link and access code. The questionnaire covers seven domains with various themes related to digital health, from management and governance to infrastructure and security.
