RNP participates in the Brazil and Sweden Innovation Week, in Stockholm
Between the 6th and 10th of November, the Brazil and Sweden Innovation Week was held in Stockholm, promoted by the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MCTI), Itamaraty and the Brazilian Embassy in Sweden. RNP participated in the meeting in person represented by the Health Community Relationship manager and national coordinator of RUTE, Luiz Ary Messina.
Within the program, on 11/9, the 8th meeting of the Brazil-Sweden Steering Group on Innovative High Technology Industrial Cooperation took place, which included presentations on the status of the action plans of the Working Groups divided by themes and Messina was the person responsible for sharing the actions carried out in Health, whose team is coordinated by RNP, together with the Karolinska Institute and the Research Institutes of Sweden (RISE).
“The Health Working Group's Action and Collaboration Plan opens up new opportunities for the integration of researchers in the areas of health, with a focus on digital health and artificial intelligence, in addition to facilitating collaboration between the Ministries of Health of Brazil and Sweden, as has been happening in meetings held in October, November and during the Brazil and Sweden Innovation Week, held between November 6th and 10th, in Stockholm”, explains Messina.
In addition to Health, the Financing Agency, Bioeconomy, Smart Cities and Sustainable Mining Working Groups made presentations and all plans had continuities approved.
During the final considerations of the meeting, the vice-minister of MCTI, Luis Fernandes, highlighted the creation of RUTE during his management at the Executive Secretariat of MCTI in 2006 and the advances made in digital health in Brazil since then.
The event, meetings and visits were very successful and, as a result, a delegation from Sweden will visit Brazil in the last week of November, with agendas in Brasília and São Paulo. At the end of the meeting, the location of the 9th Steering Group Meeting was announced, to be held in the second half of 2024, in the city of Florianópolis.
