RNP participates in the celebration of 22 years of the CAPES Journal Portal
RNP was present at the celebration of the 22 years of Journal Portal of the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel (CAPES) held on 11/29, at the institution's headquarters, in Brasília. Deputy Director of Solutions, Cláudio Silva, participated in the round table that addressed the theme "The challenges and perspectives of scientific communication in the face of transformations in business models" and spoke of the importance of the long partnership between RNP and CAPES for the evolution of the portal since its creation.
“For us, RNP, it is always a satisfaction, for the partnership, for the continuity that we have had over almost 15 years together. Since 2007, we've been dealing with technological evolution, dealing with some themes that were even at the forefront in relation to the subject that is treated today, which is the digital transformation. And the journal portal was already at the forefront of this, it has always been a reference, not only in the business model, but also a reference in these technological themes, in the way it provided access. I remember several events, places I went and the Journal Portal was treated as a worldwide case. We presented in some international events, how it worked, the model, the complexity of distributing scientific content in a country like ours, with all the difficulties and even so, we guaranteed social inclusion, of content, in less favored communities. So, it really is a privilege to participate in this event, in this discussion and celebration”, said Cláudio, who gave a presentation focused on the value of the Journal Portal within the context of digital transformation.
