RNP participates in the second edition of Rio Innovation Week and presents successful cases
RNP was present, for the second consecutive time, at Rio Innovation Week, one of the biggest innovation, technology and business events in the country, which took place between November 8th and 11th, at Píer Mauá, Rio de Janeiro.
At the opening, the Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation, Paulo Alvim, spoke about the importance of innovation for the development of the state and the well-being of those who live there. “It's time for Rio's brand to be innovation. But we need to transform this innovation into resources, jobs and quality of life”.
In addition to the booth located at Vila da Ciência MCTI, the organization was also part of the event's program. On the first day, Rafael Valle and Clayton Reis, R&DI coordinators, presented an overview of the RNP Advanced Services R&DI Program and the case of Video For Health (V4H).
Video For Health (VFH) is a project by the Faculty of Dentistry and Pediatric Dentistry at USP and was able to guide and maintain ties with patients through teleservice during the period of social distancing caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. The initiative, which is available via the Nas Nuvens platform, was awarded at the International Congress of Pediatric Dentistry.
On the second day of the event, the deputy director of Digital Services at RNP, Marcello de Jesus Fernandes, presented a section on what startups need to do to qualify and be able to participate in the organization's open innovation process.
RNP's business analyst, Larissa Marra, presented the Modular Curb project, the first product launched and patented by the institution, which consists of perforated curb guides, fitted together, functioning as channels for the passage of optical fiber. Unicamp is the first institution to have underground optical fiber cables inside its main campus using the solution, through a pilot project.
During the four-day event, Rio Innovation Week brought together retail, entrepreneurship and innovation players - entrepreneurs, investors, executives and government representatives who shared experiences and knowledge, debating and presenting new strategies for business, the future of professions and education, boosting business, ideas and startups.
