RNP participates in a week promoted by NIC.Br
Between December 5 and 9, the Information and Coordination Center of Ponto BR - (NIC.br) promotes the VI Week of Internet Infrastructure in Brazil, which brings together, in a single place, two events of a technical nature: IX Forum (former PTT Forum) and GTER. The IX Forum, which is in its tenth edition, discusses the main issues related to internet infrastructure in the country.
The Brazilian National Research and Educational Network (RNP) attended several moments of programming, with emphasis on the presentation of a case study of the Connected Amazon Program, from a network engineering perspective, on December 5. On the same day, Lucas Miller, from RNP's Point of Presence in Rio Grande do Sul, conducted an analysis of the extent of internet exchange points in the country.
On December 8, during GTER, RNP also will present the initiative that provides optical fiber sharing with Hydropower Plant Company of São Francisco (Chesf) in Northeast. On the same day, other subjects conducted by the organization will be transition techniques for the implementation of IPv6 and a case study on platform NAT64.
RNP will also be present in GTS programming, trail dedicated to security within GTER, with lectures on the role of a response group within Computer Security Incident Response Team (CSIRT) and on the deployment of a sensor network in the Brazilian academic network.
The event is being live broadcasted through the website forum.ix.br.
