Representatives of the Digital Government Secretariat of the Ministry of Economy (SGD/ME), the Inter-American Development Bank (BID) and the National Education and Research Network (RNP) met, this Wednesday (9/14), to start the creation of the Digital Government Integrated Cybersecurity Center (CSIRT GOV.BR). The initiative aims to strengthen the prevention, treatment and response to cyber incidents, as part of cybersecurity actions and the use of new technologies in the public sector, provided for in the cooperation agreement between the institutions.

Through the Integrated Center, SGD will act in the coordination and integration with public bodies of the Information Technology Resources Management System (Sisp). The Secretariat will adopt measures of diagnosis, engagement, training, communication, construction of processes, implementation of technologies, in addition to the sharing of competencies and skills on privacy and information security aimed at Sisp bodies.

The creation of the CSIRT GOV.BR is one of the initiatives of the Privacy and Information Security Program (PPSI), which seeks to increase maturity and resilience in privacy and information security in federal public administration bodies.
