SBC published book on video-collaboration in partnership with RNP
The Sociedade Brasileira de Computação (SBC) (Brazilian Computer Society) has published the book “O futuro da videocolaboração: perspectivas” (The future of video-collaboration: insights), organized by the Technical Committee of Technological Prospecting in Video-collaboration (CT-Video), coordinated by RNP.
The publication is the result of cooperation program launched for the CT-Video workshop, which was held at the Webmedia 2017, between the 17th and the 20th of October, in Gramado (RS).
The book provides a collection of works on video applications from the laboratories that are part of the technical committee, such as the audio-visual design research group of the Federal University of Paraíba (UFPB), the Laboratory of Cinematic Arts and Visualization (LabCine) of the Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie, the Laboratory of Projects in Audio and Video (PRAV) of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS), among others. "Each chapter presents a session on the 'vision of the future' of the respective laboratory", says RNP’s R&D manager, Leandro Ciuffo.
RNP signs the chapter with the videoconferencing solutions offered by the organization, including the Video@RNP, Videoaula@RNP e Web Conference advances services, as well as the MultiPresence experimental service and the Collaboration and Visualization Panel. The mapping of these solutions was gathered in a poster, which can be viewed at this link.
