UFRJ promotes conference aimed at Cybersecurity
On October 5th, the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) will host the 4th edition of the Annual Conference on Security (CAOS), which will take place from 8 am to 6 pm in the Center of Mathematical and Nature Sciences (CCMN), in the Cidade Universitária. The event will discuss several topics on the subject, such as cybersecurity, encryption, and social engineering.
With free entry, the CAOS is a project of the Directorate of Cybersecurity (SegTIC) of UFRJ aiming at raising awareness about cybersecurity. SegTIC is supported by RNP to host the event, which will take place during the Security Month in October, and also restructure its processes of treatment and response to security incidents at the university
The event is made up of several thematic branches: computational criminalistics and forensics; cloud computing; encryption and cryptanalysis; cybersecurity; Internet of Things (IoT), security in electronic voting; and others.
Those interested in watching the lectures can register on the website of the event until October 1st. Registrations for participating in voluntary work will be open between September 10th and 23rd. All those registered and present at the event will receive a digital certificate.
