University promotes lecture on biomedical informatics education

Next January 26th, at 12h (Brasília time), the Center of Technologies and Distance Education in Health of the Federal University of Ceará (NUTEDS/UFC, in Portuguese) will carry out the webconference "Education in Biomedical Informatics: The State of Art in Portugal and in Brazil", taught by Professor Ricardo João Cruz Correia, from Medical School of Porto University, in Portugal.

The idea is to promote the debate on Biomedical Informatics in Brazil, based on the successful experience of the Portuguese university. The Medical School of Porto University has a specific department for Medical Informatics, as well as a Center for Research in Health Technologies and Services. The initiative is part of the strategy for the creation of the Special Interest Group (SIGs) on the subject.

The webconference will be open to the public and access the virtual room to participate, as a guest, through the link http://webconf2.rnp.br/rutehuwcufc. There, you can follow the discussions, view the content and participate in the debate.

About SIGs and Rute

SIGs are an initiative promoted by the Telemedicine University Network (Rute, in Portuguese) to promote debates, case discussions and even distance classes, through videoconference or web conferencing, stimulating the integration and training among health professionals at different levels of vocational training.

Rute is an initiative of the Ministry of Science, Technology, Innovation and Communications (MCTIC), supported by the Financing of Studies and Projects (Finep) and coordinated by RNP, which aims to improve projects in telemedicine, public universities and university hospitals (HUs).
