WRNP 2020 will be digital and free on december 7th and 8th
RNP announces the 21st edition of WRNP, a workshop annually held that aims to bring the public closer to technological advances and the main topics in the area of research and development of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) inside and outside Brazil.
The event, which takes place between November 7 and 8, 100% online, will take the public through panels and lectures, topics such as the challenges of Academic Networks for a post-pandemic world, research and Education during the pandemic and post-pandemic, open network softwarization, such as the 100G Internet can contribute to the "new normal", blockchain, projects in Cybersecurity, among others.
Among the lecturers confirmed for this year are Paulo Alvim, Secretary of Entrepreneurship and Innovation at the MCTI, who will participate in a panel discussion on innovation at the end of the first day of the event, and Ilya Baldin, the leader of the research program of the network infrastructure of the RENCI (Renaissance Computing Institute), and the coordinator of the testbed FABRIC, who will focus on the challenges in the sharing of platforms and infrastructures to support research and education of computer networks and distributed systems.
Innovation will have a special space in WRNP's schedule, with lectures and panels with agents of the innovation ecosystem and many novelties in the area of exhibitors, renamed “InovaRNP" space. Participants will have access to virtual partner stands and project demonstrations resulting from R&D notices of the RNP.
