Learn how the topic of computer network security is addressed in international cooperation projects

- 22/10/2018

With the purpose of sharing experiences on security in computer networks and clouds, RNP invites to the Second CooperaTIC Webinar three specialists in the area who work on projects in international cooperation calls with the United States and the European Union. The event will be held on 11/06 at 03:00 p.m. and will have the theme 'International Cooperation Projects in Computer Network Security”.

In addition to topics related to security enhancement in computer networks and clouds, the webinar will address critical issues of this type of practice that still require improvement, such as authentication and privacy, reliable clouds, isolated and secure pooling of resources, accountability and data traceability in programmable networks and secure virtualization in hybrid systems.

“While computer network security is one of the mainstays of any and all IT software and service in all sectors of the new digital economy, much still needs to be developed. This webinar aims to make the specialists who are at the frontier of the research on the subject to share results and promote the exchange of ideas”, explains the Project Coordinator of the Center for Research and Development in Digital Technologies for Information and Communication (CTIC/RNP) , Marcelo A. Marotta. The webinar is an initiative from CTIC/RNP, in partnership with the Escola Superior de Redes - ESR (Superior School of Networks) and support from the Ministry of Science, Technology, Innovation and Communications (MCTIC).a iniciativa do CTIC/RNP, em parceria com a Escola Superior de Redes (ESR) e apoio do Ministério da Ciência, Tecnologia, Inovações e Comunicações (MCTIC).

The guests invited to help presenting the webinar are representatives of three projects that address the security of computer networks in the 3rd Call for International Cooperation Brazil and European Union and 1st Coordinated Call for International Cooperation between RNP and NSF: SecureCloud, Insane and P4Sec .

SecureCloud (Secure Big Data Processing in Untrusted Clouds) develops a security infrastructure for BigData systems over cloud networks of untrusted computers.

Insane (Improving Network Security at the Network Edge) aims to detect malicious devices inside home networks and also prevents data leakage from users on home networks.

P4Sec (Securing Networks in the Programmable Data Plane Era) is an initiative to create secure mechanisms for analyzing the data plan of programmable computer networks.
