MEC launches ConectaRede Program, which provides services and solutions to 41 institutions of the Federal Network
Today (12/15), at 2 pm, the Ministry of Education (MEC) launched the ConectaRede Program. The initiative, developed by MEC's Secretariat for Professional and Technological Education (Setec) and the National Teaching and Research Network (RNP), brings together and offers a set of solutions and services to meet the specific needs of the Federal Network of Professional, Scientific and Technological Education, in a process of modernization of technological capacity and digital transformation in Brazilian public education.
With the launch, 41 institutions, such as Federal Institutes and Technical Schools, will benefit from the discovery of new services, support and evolution of solutions, consulting and training. The Program includes: Digital Diploma, Learn More Platform, PlaforEdu Platform, ProEDU Repository, For Platform (PDI and Risk), Cloud Moodle, Methodology for Evaluation of Energy Demand Contracts (MACDE), backup services and training plans with the courses offered by the Escola Superior de Redes (ESR). ConectaRede ensures gains in scale, savings in public resources, quality and standardization of offers, security and efficiency for the Federal Network community.
At the launch ceremony that took place at the MEC Auditorium, RNP was present. The table of authorities was made up of the general director of RNP, Nelson Simões; MEC's Secretary of Professional and Technological Education, Tomás Sant`Ana; the Development Director of the Federal Network of Professional, Scientific and Technological Education, also from MEC, Kedson Lima; MEC's Sub-Secretary for Information and Communication Technology (ICT), Delson Pereira; and the President of the National Council of Institutions of the Federal Education, Professional, Scientific and Technological Network (Conif), Cláudio Alex, who was at the ceremony remotely.
When he took over the speech, Nelson Simões highlighted the relational character of the word “network” present in the name of the Program. “We are inaugurating here a fundamental model for digital transformation. We are not just talking about platforms, but ongoing training and the development of capacities, skills and abilities, for the benefit of our students and professors. The best skills are in our institutions. We managed to build what we are presenting here, in an integrated way, through partnerships and with reduced costs. This is a tremendous legacy, it goes beyond what the institutions have done so far, in isolation”, emphasized the general director of RNP.
Tomás Santanna, Secretary of Setec (MEC), took advantage of his speech to thank the entire team that made the project a reality and declared: “These tools will certainly have an impact on students, but they were created to make life easier for managers , as deans and directors of institutions. I defined a very clear objective in 2018: to improve the efficiency of our institutions. Today, we deliver an innovation ecosystem for the efficiency of the Federal Network. With gains in scale and scope. The progress of this project was only possible thanks to this partnership. A dream you dream alone is just a dream, a dream you dream together is reality. Thus, I recognize the excellence and professionalism of RNP!”.
In a second moment, RNP's Solutions Manager, Roosevelt Benvindo, was able to present the ConectaRede Program and reiterated: “This project has everything to do with RNP's reason for existing: connecting people and their dreams and strengthening education in the country. This program is moving from a vision of a project to becoming a major public policy to promote education across the country!”.
